Pride Month: Connecting the dots
I lived 48.4 years of my life in Washington state, most of those years in the same county. My parents still live in the home we moved into on my 2nd birthday. In my heart, Lynnwood is still “home.” But I watch what is happening in my childhood city and my heart is deeply grieved. It’s the same thing we see happening in towns across the country - doesn’t matter if they’re red or blue. The “queer” agenda knows no bounds and it seeks to infiltrate every inch of our country.
A current resident of Lynnwood tipped me off to the pride event happening next month. Side note: “pride” is no longer contained to the month of June. There are apparently 41 LGBTQ+&*/#@! celebration days throughout the year in addition to all the festivities of June’s Pride Month. https://glaad.org/reference/calendar/
As I looked at the event page on their website, there is an interesting connect I thought important to point out to folks who may not otherwise understand the significance.
Washington State Senator Marko Liias (LD21) is scheduled to be a participant in this event in Lynnwood. Marko Liias has been instrumental in advancing a number of different LGBTQ policies, but most notably last year’s passing of his bill SB 5599 which allows minor children to receive so-called “gender affirming care” without the consent or notification of the parents.
SB 5599 is essentially state-sanctioned kidnapping.
“Aren’t you being a little dramatic?”
No, I’m not.
A child could go to school in the morning and not return home because they have been shuttled to a youth shelter or host home by the school staff. The school can tell law enforcement that this has transpired, but law enforcement can not tell the parents. So when mom calls law enforcement to report her missing child, they cannot tell her where her child is, thanks to SB 5599.
You have a LGBTQ lawmaker who has passed policy to allow children to be removed from the protection of their parents without notification and he’s going to be part of a pride event where children as young as TWO are going to be doing a catwalk competition??!! Are you freaking kidding me!!!
Who is paying for this event? The graphics and the website indicate the City of Lynnwood is a sponsor of the event. Are tax dollars being used to fund this? I would have to assume they are.
City council member, Josh Binda, who “faced ethics complaint for misused public facilities for personal gain, mishandled campaign funds, lied to council, and lacked a certain decorum the community believed was “inappropriate” after he posed shirtless to promote a speak tour to mostly minors”, will be one of the judges for the cat walk contest…again, children as young as 2!! https://lynnwoodtimes.com/2023/06/27/binda-recall-230627/
Pride events are about celebrating sexuality. The goal is to indoctrinate children, teach them this is “normal” and “good”. These people believe that children have “sexual rights” and adults should not interfere with those. This is a huge agenda with very deep roots on a global level. We have a duty to speak up for the children. I believe the majority of people do not believe these kinds of events and promoting sexuality to young children is moral or ethical as a society.
But we must be willing to speak out against it if we are going to end it! I encourage you to find out what’s happening in your community during the month of June and if there are events targeted and marketed to children, speak up. Consider writing an op ed to your local paper, attend a city council meeting and make a public comment, alert your neighbors and friends in the community. Small actions can have big impact!
